Trinity, Ala., kicker Andy Pappanastos has committed to Ole Miss after accepting a scholarship offer Sunday morning, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.
The Rebels currently have three senior kickers on the roster and believe Pappanastos can emerge as their do-everything kicker beginning in 2013.
"I really wanted him to go somewhere where he really, really wanted to go to school," said Paul Pappanastos, Andy's father. "He found that with Ole Miss. This looks like it'll be a great fit for everyone."
The tentative plan is for Pappanastos to enroll as a full-time student in January 2013, but events between National Signing Day and the opening of fall camp could hasten that timetable. The NCAA allows players to attend classes on a part-time basis during their first semester without affecting eligibility.
